Glenn Beck Was Right Again

I hate to say this, but Glenn Beck was right again! Months ago he predicted that our economy, and our society, would be destroyed in a pincer movement from the “ground up and the top down.”

It is obvious that those in power are in favor of a larger, stronger, and more intrusive government. We see it every day. Over a fourth of the total employment in this country now works for government, and another 40% rely on it for financial support. The political benefit is obvious.

But there are Conservatives who are philosophically fighting this trend, even to the point of fielding candidates who promise to rein in Big Government, Cut Spending, and Cut Taxes.
The most prominent of these candidates is Herman Cain and his 9-9-9 Plan. He is taking a page from Ronald Reagan’s book that since Congress won’t control itself, he will starve it into submission by cutting taxes. But Mr. Cain is presenting such a threat the current power structure, that they are hell-bent on taking him down. . . both Democrat and Republican. The news today is that of the two women who have been identified as “anonymous” sources of sexual harassment accusations, one works for “government” and the other is involved in “politics,” whatever that means. And none other than Karl Rove is demanding that their accusations against Herman Cain be made public! But I digress.

conservative politics - Glenn BeckGlenn Beck is the harbinger of so many scary scenarios that it blows your mind. Even more frightening is that many of his prior predictions have already come to fruition. Now he is telling us to stock up on freeze-dried foods for our short term survival, and move to be near open land for long-term production of our own sustenance. He predicts that the security of our veneer of civilization is about to come to an end.

Unlike some recent prophets of doom, he is not predicting the end of the world, Armageddon, and all of that. Our world is not coming to an end, just on the brink of significant change. Glenn says that while right now we as Conservatives are opposing greater government power, the time is coming when even we will welcome it.

Conservative Views on OccupyHere is his scenario: Glenn predicted long before the Occupy Wall Street movement that insurrectionists in our own culture would create such an unlawful uprising from the street level that we, even we Conservatives, (especially we Conservatives) will demand that the Government restore law and order. . . even if it means the enactment of martial law.
So what do we see in today’s headlines?

Street clashes, arrests as bank leader speaks

Occupy wall street Protesters Tear Gassed by Police

Riot police fire projectiles, arrest dozens of Occupy Oakland protesters

And we Conservatives say, “Throw the bums in jail!” “Break up the mobs!” “We won’t stand for this!” And just who, or what force, do we expect to handle the unruly? Remember that one of Obama’s campaign pledges was to create a civilian task force equal to or superior to that of the military! And who in positions of political power are backing these demonstrations? For starters, we can count President Obama, Vice President Biden, House Minority Leader Pelosi, Senate Democrat Leader Reid, and others of similar ilk.

Then if you throw in the SEIU, the ACLU, the Communist Party USA, Louis Farrakhan, Industrial Workers of the World, CAIR, George Soros and David Duke, you see the size of the challenge. Who will now question that it will probably take a force equal to the military, or maybe even the military, to respond to our Conservative demands.

So there you have it. An instigated uprising from below that will necessitate domination from above. That’s how it’s always worked. Cuba, Iran, Czechoslovakia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, even Nazi Germany. In every instance revolutionaries created such unrest that political power was welcomed by the populace, and once there, never to relinquish control. Just as Glenn Beck predicted months ago.
